Pattern matching at massive scale

Artificial intelligence isn't magic, it's software that finds patterns in huge amounts of data and uses those patterns to make predictions or decisions. A spam filter, a movie recommendation, and a chatbot are all AI, just built differently.

Modern AI models like Claude are a specific kind called large language models. They're trained on enormous amounts of text and learn to predict, very accurately, what word should come next in a sentence.
