Surgical robots like the da Vinci system translate a surgeon's hand movements into smaller, steadier motions inside the body, enabling minimally invasive procedures with less trauma and faster recovery than open surgery. Robotic surgery is now common practice at major hospitals rather than an experimental novelty.
In agriculture, self-driving tractors follow GPS-mapped routes, computer-vision weeding robots identify and remove weeds without harming crops, and harvesting robots in orchards learn to spot ripe fruit without bruising it. In space, robots do the jobs humans can't survive: rovers explore other planets, and robotic arms and probes operate in vacuum and extreme temperatures no astronaut could tolerate unprotected.
