Over the past two years, a number of AI safety researchers have left leading labs, sometimes publicly, citing disagreements over how fast frontier AI is being developed relative to how well its risks are understood. This course looks at what these researchers actually said (in their own public statements, not secondhand paraphrase), why their warnings carry particular weight given their vantage point inside these labs, and how to weigh urgent, high-stakes claims like these without either dismissing them or treating them as settled fact.
