You'll learn why today's identity systems trap your credentials inside whichever company or agency issued them, how decentralized identifiers and verifiable credentials let you hold and present your own claims, how the issuer-holder-verifier trust triangle replaces 'call the issuer to check' with 'do the math to check', how selective disclosure lets you prove a fact without oversharing, and where this technology realistically helps today versus where it's still catching up to its own promises.
