This course covers how robots decide on the actual path and timing of their motion, from geometric path planning through sampling-based and optimization-based planners to smooth, replannable trajectories. It's part 3 of the Robot Control & Dynamics track, building on dynamics and PID control by tackling a different problem: generating the motion a controller is then asked to track. Best suited for learners comfortable with basic control concepts who want to understand how the reference trajectory itself gets built.
