Path Planning & Obstacle Avoidance
Advanced Β· 5 lessons Β· 0 complete
Part 2 of the Perception & Autonomy track, this course picks up after Robot Localization and focuses narrowly on real-time reactive obstacle avoidance, the layer that handles sudden, close-range obstacles at the speed a moving robot actually needs. Unlike the site's Motion Planning & Trajectory Optimization course, which covers global route planning and trajectory algorithms across a whole known map, this course is about the fast local reflex layer running many times per second right around the robot. Built for learners who already understand how a robot knows where it is and want to know how it keeps from running into things while it moves.
