Restaking & Shared Security
Advanced Β· 5 lessons Β· 0 complete
Restaking takes the capital already locked up to secure a base blockchain and lets that same capital simultaneously back additional services, from oracle networks to bridges, without those services having to build a validator set from scratch. This course looks at why bootstrapping independent security is so hard, how restaking mechanically extends slashing conditions across services, what kinds of services actually benefit from borrowed security, and the compounding and systemic risks that come with stacking multiple slashing exposures on top of a single set of validators.
